[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]
Name: Natsu Dragneel
Age: Roughly 17 for apparent age -- I don't know if that's his real age, however. There's one small hint in canon that technically could mean that he's older -- during a forced competition to see who was the strongest in Fairy Tail, a rune trap was created with the rule that anyone over eighty couldn't escape from it. Natsu was stuck in there along with the other dragonslayer and their OBVIOUSLY over eighty guild master. But I don't know if that's something specific to his magic or if it's a secret we haven't yet learned. SO tl;dr later...I'm sticking with 17 for now.
Gender: Male
Canon: Fairy Tail
Timeline: Episode 99 -- right after surrendering to Gildarts.
Character History:

Character Personality:
Shounen protags and heroes rejoice because Natsu is representin'.
As with most shounen manga main characters, Natsu is loud, obnoxious, stupid and really freaking strong. People probably mostly hear the loud -- whether he's flying off the handle in a short-tempered rage or trying to get someone to fight him. It's very easy to say something that gets under his skin and causes an outburst -- and even easier to pick a fight. Natsu is fueled by the single desire to get stronger, to test his skills, to find out his own weaknesses and get stronger again. Anyone offering to fight him or those who are antagonizing him will be met with a match or a punch with no real second guessing on his behalf. He tends to clash with people who are like-minded, such as Gray (someone who had been a member of Fairy Tail since childhood who is less obnoxious and stupid, but more like the ice to his fire) or Gajeel (another dragonslayer who can get equally loud, but is less obnoxious and equally -- though subtly -- as stupid). But for the most part, friendships are easily forged with others. Natsu has even been known to befriend an enemy.
Friendships are very important to Natsu. While he seems oblivious to others feelings a good majority of the time, the truth is that he can be quite perceptive of his friends. For example, after seeing Lucy so excited for a cherry blossom festival, when she fell ill and had to miss it, Natsu knew that this would bother her, so he dug up one of the trees and had it floated out on a boat where she could see. ....his decisions might not be the brightest, but the thought behind it is (usually) very endearing. A second more serious example is when Erza (another member of his guild) happened to be fighting Jellal (a man who was once one of her childhood friends), she begins to grow upset. Natsu promptly knocks her out so that she wouldn't cry, so that she would continue to be the strong Erza he knew, and so that he could defeat Jellal without her having to anguish over this.
Natsu sees the value in companionship and often gets upset when antagonists treat their comrades as dispensable -- having been known on more than one occasion to yell at the enemy and say 'isn't he your ally?!' when said enemy will allow another to suffer or die in their stead. He will fight with everything to ensure his friends are safe (even for stupid Gray) and would willingly sacrifice his own life for the lives of others. Of course, Natsu believes in his own strength as well...and probably doesn't think it would come down to his own sacrifice. Actually he doesn't really think at all.
Which brings me to the stupid part because this really deserves its own paragraph. Natsu has his own special brand of stupidity which often involves not being able to read the situation...at all. There is one point when they arrive at a town where the people had all been turned into demons (or so they believed), and when these people revealed their demon faces to the group....both Lucy and Gray expressed their condolences while Natsu instantly remarked about how cool they looked and inquired as to where he could get some horns. Another instance was in the Edolas arc when they were wandering a dark tunnel and Natsu suddenly stopped Lucy and Wendy, handing off his torch and causing them to believe that something was wrong/they were about to be attacked. Instead, Natsu just stupidly made some shadow puppets for his own entertainment. But even despite this, he can be quite smart and strategic -- in battles especially. He has been known to take hits just to learn the methods of the enemy and formulate a plan to beat them. Problem solving tactics are one of Natsu's strengths.
It is my belief that although Natsu is surrounded by friends, he is still lonely. His whole driving force is to find Igneel (the dragon that adopted him in when he was a kid). Even years after the dragon's mysterious disappearance, Natsu still hasn't lost the desire to find him. Up until Gajeel joined Fairy Tail, Natsu was the only dragonslayer -- which meant that people only had his word that dragons existed. No one truly understands what being a dragonslayer is like, so whenever Natsu meets one...or a fake one, it always affects him. He has a special, unspoken bond with Wendy and Gajeel. With their support, they can team up and find the dragons that disappeared on them. You could say that dragons are something of an obsession for Natsu -- especially when he was younger. But along the same loneliness line, there was a girl in Fairy Tail that Natsu was very close with -- Lisanna. He believed she had died, so for many years faced the loss of her on top of the loss of Igneel (of course, she comes back and they have a tearful reunion, but that's beside the point). This is mainly headcanon, but I don't think Natsu truly allowed himself to get close to anyone until Lucy came into his life and team Natsu was formed. Sure, he had a strong friendship with Erza beforehand, but it grew tenfold as the series progressed.
Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:
Natsu is the dragonslayer of fire. This means that he has a masterful control over flames. He has spells that allow him to (and not limited to these either): breathe fire, punch fire, kick fire, shoot fire. He can also have his whole body consumed by flames or use the flames like a booster on his feet to propel him in the air or speed up an attack. To power up again, he will literally eat fire which is a dragonslayer specific thing.
Other than his magic, Natsu has proven that he can fight in hand to hand combat as well. He's extremely fast, relatively strong, and fairly agile. He has fought in many different situations -- including aerial with his winged cat (Happy) holding onto his shoulders. And I think he has trained himself to be able to do all these things so that he wasn't relying mainly on magic. It's my belief that Natsu wants to become as well-versed in combat as he possibly can -- improving himself in areas of weakness and always watching and keenly observing his opponent to pick up their strategies.
He has a really strong sense of smell -- to a point where he can pick up the scents of his friends from miles away. There have been a few times the team has relied on Natsu's nose to find someone.
Character Weaknesses you would like to expand on further:
Being a fire mage, Natsu has a natural weakness to wind magic as wind can blow his flames away. He faces a great challenge when fighting a wind mage (but overcomes it through his strength of will). Although not really addressed, I imagine that he's not very strong against water mages either. Water has the ability to extinguish flames, after all. But perhaps in Natsu's case, his flames would be hot enough to evaporate said water.
He also has limited reserves. Although he's got a great deal of inner magic, Natsu needs to replenish it -- and the only way to do that is to consume fire.
Of course -- these things don't even TOUCH Natsu's biggest weakness. The biggest weakness he has, the greatest challenge he faces in his daily life is transportation. Natsu gets extremely motion sick -- to a point where just the thought of taking a train or a boat will make him nauseous. Once he gets on some means of transportation, he's pretty much out of commission. He has even missed his stop on a train before and had to ride it several times just because he couldn't move from his seat. This has been a way that many enemies have gotten the advantage -- and even once whatever he's riding on stops moving, it still takes him a while to recover. The only exception to this rule is that he can easily fly with Happy -- which he claims it's because Happy's not transportation.
[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]
What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign?
- fighting abilities and skills unrelated to magic
- heightened sense of smell (stronger than the average Joe but considerably weaker than what is normal to him)
- ability to consume fire (related to the meister ability I have in mind!)
What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign?
- still gets horribly motion sick
- lost powers
- No Happy to fly him around :(
The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
Why wouldn't BREW bring Natsu? He's Joe Shounen -- a great fighter with a big heart who will easily agree to fight for their cause. Even though he'll be without his powers, he can adapt to fighting on Death City's terms and will do it willingly -- no coaxing to get home needed, no ulterior motives...just all the good guy intentions of saving a world that's in trouble.
If your character has difficulty verbally communicating or can’t verbally communicate at all (mute or non-humanoid), elaborate on how this will be treated in the game. (Skip if this doesn’t apply)

[ MEISTER ONLY SECTION ]
Why is your character a Meister and not a Weapon?
Natsu is adaptable just the way a meister must be -- whether it comes to different fighting techniques or using different weapons. In a way, he's already in a weapon/meister partnership with Happy. Happy becomes his wings while he does the fighting. He's used to partnering up this way and won't have a problem teaming up with anyone. HE'S ALSO A MAIN CHARACTER WHICH AUTOMATICALLY = MEISTER, RIGHT?? Let's pretend I know how to actually answer this section. /cough
What is your character’s Meister Ability? Why?
Soul Consumption - after consuming large quantities a certain element (ie: fire, water, ice, etc), the meister is temporarily able to use these in battle by expelling them through their breath (think like a dragon breathing fire or any other element). The amount they can store in their body/use is fully dependent upon the strength of resonation as this ability can only be used during resonation. What they consume must be used in a relatively short period of time (there is no capability of storing and saving said element for another battle or for prolonged use). The best results can be achieved when partnering with a weapon of the same elemental properties.
Natsu, of course, would be of the fire element. And I believe something like the above ability would suit him better than any that I've found on the list.
[ SOUL INFORMATION ]
Describe your character’s soul with six adjectives.
strong, caring, loud, hot-headed, obnoxious, idiotic
What does your character’s soul look like? Be creative.
Natsu's soul is a bright, fiery orange with spikes that match his own hair -- each of the tips seeming to dance the way flames actually would. In the center -- on what would be its 'forehead' is a bright red fairy tail guild stamp. It's a hyper, energetic soul -- often seen bouncing around similar to Black*Star's.
